The State Security Adviser ( North) and Director General BORDERCOM over the weeks have been traversing the length and breadth of Northern Cross River. Northern Cross River has over 70 communities with external borders. Tirelessly, the duo go from one border community to the other on sensitisation as well as raising volunteers to man the borders in line with His Excellency’s directives. While closing the borders,they equally ensuring the compliance with NO MASK ,NO MOVEMENT. From the remotest part of Yala to the Obanliku International border with the Cameroon Republic, borders were closed. Responding on how they were able to carry out the blockade without security challenges, the State Security Adviser North Mr. Leo Inyambe praised gallant men of the Nigeria Army,Police, MOPOL 75 and Civil Defense for their cooperation and sacrifice. On his part ,the DG BORDERCOM Mr. Noel Ugbong said the success of the exercise has been due largely to the cooperation of the Communities leaderships,especially the youths. Not to forget are Health Workers who have not known rest since the border closure exercise commenced
