Spy x Family vs. Street Fighter 6 crossover animation released ahead of collaboration event

Capcom isn’t one to shy away from crossovers with other video games, and now it seems we can add anime to that list as well.

The company just released a special animated short for Spy x Family vs. Street Fighter 6 ahead of a collaboration event coming to the fighting game.

The animation is about a minute in length coming from Wit Studio, who also handles the actual Spy x Family anime, and it’s pretty darn colorful to say the least.

Things start out with Yor Forger in her black dress squaring up against Chun-Li on the Nayshall stage from SF6 with the same 2D perspective as the fighting game before trading blows in a flashy sequence.

There had been teasers about this Spy x Family vs. Street Fighter 6 collaboration before, and now we know a bit more about it on the fighting game side of things.

Starting January 9, 2024, collaboration items will be added to SF6 for a limited time to coincide with the Spy x Family Code: White film that’s about to release.

They haven’t really said what those items are going to be yet, but if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover is anything to go by, it’ll likely focus on avatar items and other things like stickers to use in the Battle Hub.

Getting Chun-Li in Yor’s dress would be cool to get as an actual costume for her though we’re kinda doubting that’s going to happen at the moment since they just released Outfit 3 into the game.

This actually isn’t the first anime crossover SF6 has actually gotten in its short life already since they featured Baki the Grappler earlier this year, and brought them back with more Battle Hub items currently.
