Manchester United are monitoring several Sporting stars to reunite them with Ruben Amorim, strengthening his system at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have been linked with Victor Gyokeres, Geovany Quenda and Ousmane Diomande, players who have all excelled under Amorim.
Whilst Amorim has sworn against a raid for any Sporting stars in January, he kept the door open for a summer signing.
In his final address for Sporting, Amorim commented: “I will not sign any Sporting player at Man United in January… then, what happens in the summer I don’t know”.
However, one of the other Sporting talents on United’s radar has now spoken out about his future in the Portuguese capital.

Manchester United look to Sporting star Francisco Trincao
Sporting’s winger, Francisco Trincao is another star having an incredible season. With four goals and ten assists in 19 games, Trincao is a routine starter for the club.
However, the 24-year-old will be entering the final year of his contract at the end of this season.
As such, Sporting could find themself under pressure to sell the winger to avoid losing him for free the following January, giving United a massive boost.
Speaking to Mais Futebol about nearing the end of his contract, Trincao commented: “Up until now we haven’t talked about anything, everyone knows that I’m happy here, but there’s nothing on the table. I’m very happy here, it’s my club.”
He continued referring to interest from other clubs, saying: “I don’t control the interest of other clubs, I only focus on what I control, which is the game against Arsenal.”
However, it was only natural that Amorim’s departure from the club came up, with Trincao crediting Amorim for any success they have this year. The winger commented: “It’s a bit of everyone’s work, we’re happy that our work is being recognised, but if the season ends well it will be because of everyone’s work together, both Amorim and João Pereira.”
