However, he may not be the only star that Sporting are set to lose.
Sporting Lisbon set to lose Viktor Gyokeres
New reports emerging have announced that Sporting’s star striker Viktor Gyokeres could be free to leave the club next season.
Florian Plettenberg has announced that although Gyokeres has a release clause of €100 million, he could be allowed to leave for €60 million to €70 million next summer.
So far this season, Gyokeres has scored 14 goals with four assists in 14 games, making him a truly threatening attacker right now.
United could well be front-runners to sign him, with his success under Amorim in Portugal, however Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested.
Whilst it’s unlikely that he’ll move in January, a summer move is looking like a real possibility.
