Last week, Ruben Amorim moved to Manchester United from Sporting CP, bringing with him the majority of his backroom staff.
The move marks a new era for United, with Amorim bringing his set style of play to the club.
The Portuguese manager prefers a 3-4-3 formation with dynamic wings and a central front three.
Before leaving Sporting, Amorim swore against moving for any Sporting stars in January, saying: “I will not sign any Sporting player at Man United in January… then, what happens in the summer I don’t know”.
This statement provided respect to his former club for the current season, whilst also leaving the door open for some potential reunions in the summer.
And this is exactly what Sporting are expecting.

Players like Viktor Gyokeres, Geovany Quenda and Ousmane Diomande are being linked with moves to Old Trafford, with the latter caught in the middle of a Manchester transfer derby.
Manchester United and Manchester City are both interested in Diomande, with the defender currently swaying towards continuing his development under Amorim.
Sporting CP expect an offer for Geovany Quenda
However, Manchester Evening News have reported that Sporting are expecting United to make a move for winger Geovany Quenda next year.
The left-footed right-winger has excelled in Amorim’s system at Sporting, and with United’s wings not yet established under the Portuguese manager, Quenda could slot right in.
However, Amorim is reportedly very impressed with Amad Diallo who would be playing in the same role.
If Quenda was brought in, he would presumably be as a replacement to Antony who Amorim does not see fitting into his plans.
So, a right-wing pair of Diallo and Quenda to choose from could be a very exciting prospect for Amorim.
