Chelsea who won the Premier League last two seasons, experienced a disappointing and devastating campaign to their title defence, as the same Man 'Jose Mourinho', who led them to the title in his second stint at the Bridge regarded himself as been betrayed by his players.

The poor start to last two season led Chelsea to finish 10th in the league table, as Guss Hiddink took charge after the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.

The disappointing start to last season which saw Chelsea lost 9 of their opening 16 game of the season led to his dismissal for his second spell in charge at the Bridge.

Italian tactician Antonio Conte took charge immediately after Euros competition, which saw Germany defeating Italy at the semi finals. The Italy tactician who has won three Scudetto with  Juventus when he was in charge, is well known to be a serial and radical winner. And his impact has already been seen felt at Chelsea as they have already recorded two victories in a row home and away.

With the influx of Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola taken charge at Manchester United and Manchester City respectively who new recruits of money well spent. Manchester United and Manchester City are well considered to be favourites due their new recruits and influence on managerial affairs on teams they have coached and managed.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry believes Chelsea are dark horses to win the Premier League title this season.

Asked if Manchester United could win the title, speaking to Sky Sport Henry said:

“But don't sleep on Chelsea. Them not having Europe will be a help. I'll still go with Man City.”

It would be fascinating to see who looses ground and develop cold feet in their pursuit of the EPL title.
