Spencer defends ‘disturbing allegations’ of No. 10

In an urgent question, cabinet minister Michael Ellis defended what deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner described as “disturbing allegations”.

It is alleged that prime minister Boris Johnson knew about former minister Pincher’s misconduct on appointing him to the ministerial role he held until last week. 

Spencer encouraged MPs to “act fairly” given that “there is no evidence”.
