Speedkicks releases a traditional early impressions tier list for Tekken 8

·

Just a few days ago, Speedkicks released a tier list for Tekken 8 that ranks characters based on how annoying they are. While there often is a correlation between how annoying a character is to fight against and how strong they are in a fighting game, this isn’t always a one-to-one comparison.

Needless to say, Speedkicks has recently showcased a more traditional tier list that ranks each combatant based on how strong they actually are. It’s noted that there are S+, S, and S- tier categories due to how strong the cast feels in terms of “traditional Tekken logic.”

The strongest characters in Tekken 8 are said to be Feng, Dragunov, Alisa, Jun, Reina, and Devil Jin. This already seems similar to other tier lists that have already been released for Tekken 8.

Kuma and Panda are said to be the weakest overall as they’re positioned at the very bottom in the B tier category. Jack-8, Kazuya, Zafina, and Steve are only slightly better in the tier position just above B tier.

Of course, it should be noted that only 30 out of 32 fighters are ranked on this tier list. According to Speedkicks, Leo and Leroy are absent due to a lack of exposure to them. He also states that Victor’s tier position is based on him getting his glitched throw removed in the next update.
