Job Description :
As Specialist Operating Plan you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Utilize financial analysis techniques to extract insights and trends from operational data.
Produce summarised and relevant financial information for decision-making.
Prepare Monthly Operating Plan (MOP) information and analyses in the required format.
Provide key performance indicators (KPI) performance analyses and reporting to stakeholders.
Provide an interface between central Performance Management and site MOP specialists.
Develop and maintain an integrated MOP framework for a comprehensive understanding, review, and
challenge of operational performance.
Identify and highlight key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities to management.
Advise on cost drivers, conduct cost analysis, and promote understanding of financial performance.
Prepare input for the consolidated budget and capital plan.
Assist the Principal Monthly Operating Plan in breaking down financial targets to site work areas.
Provide support to the budgeting process on-site, challenging budget inputs, and supplying analyses.
Consolidate monthly MOP forecasting to provide accurate and timely financial projections.
Prepare and collate monthly MPR/QPR information and Kumba templates to Anglo American performance reporting.
Maintain and execute the JSE controls attestations requirement and related Risk and Control Matrix to ensure compliance with the function.
This role is in the Finance (FIN)) at a Band 6 level reporting to Manager Performance Management.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate
Relevant Finance degree (e.g. B. Com) (NQF7)
Postgraduate qualification (CIMA) is preferred
SA Drivers Licence
Experience
Knowledge of operational processes within the scope of the role.
Understand their role in the overall data lifecycle about Data Policy principles.
Awareness of critical digital tools and concepts relevant to their role and how to use them effectively.
Understand how business processes are executed and look for improvements within them.
Risk management techniques and critical controls.
Leadership tools for implementing a culture of purpose-led high performance and change.
Safety, health and environment, legislative, statutory, and regulatory permitting requirements.
Data collection, analysis, and management for decision-making.
