CELEBERATION OF 2020 DEMOCRACY DAY IN CRS
On Friday,12th June,2020,Cross River State will join other States in Nigeria to commemorate the 2020 Democracy Day,a special day set aside by the Federal Government to mark the return to democratic rule since 1999.
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic which has ravaged the entire World,including disruption of key events and activities across all spheres of life,the State Government has approved a low key Democracy day celebration for this year.
The event which shall feature the distribution of houses to IDPs shall hold as follows;
VENUE: Ayade social Housing/ resettlement estate. Bakassi.

Accordingly, His Excellency,the Governor of Cross River State,Sir Prof Ben Ayade has invited the Deputy Governor,His Excellency,Prof. Ivara Esu,OFR, The Honourable Speaker,Rt Hon Eteng Jonah Williams and members of the CRS House of Assembly, State Acting Chief Judge,Honourable Justice Maurice Eneji;Members of the National Assembly from the State;Members of the State Executive Council,Secretary to State Government, Chiefof staff, Head of service,Senior Special Advisers,Special Advisers;Directors-General;Chairmen of Boards,Agencies and Parastatals,Permanent Secretaries,Leadership of all Political Parties,Service Commanders,the State Commissioner of Police;the Consuls General of the Republic of Cameroun and Equitorial Guinea,and other members of the Diplomatic Corps,the Clergy,Chairmen and Members of the Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council,Local Government Chairmen,Members of the Local Government Legislature and the Media,to attend this special Democracy Day which will be conducted in strict adherence to the COVID-19 Protocols.
Please,note that attendance is restricted to the affore-mentioned.
There shall be no March-pass by School children.
