Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has seen a great deal of success since it was released. Indeed, it was reported that the new game was able to surpass 3 million sales in just 24 hours.
Unique to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is its Custom Battle mode. Essentially, fans are able to create their own “What If” scenarios within the Dragon Ball timeline. Though the developers have given players access to some interesting tools to shape the narrative and difficulty of these customized fights, these tools also tend to be somewhat rudimentary.
As it turns out, some creators have opted to mod Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero to enable features and NPCs into Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Custom Battle. Needless to say, this goes against the developer’s intentions for the game.
Of course, the developers have apparently taken notice of the usage of these mods and have since issued a stern warning to the community about them. Essentially, anybody caught with uploaded modified content into the Custom Battle mode will be banned.
“Appropriate security measures will be taken against those who used any MOD system in Custom Battle,” wrote the Dragon Ball Games Twitter account. “We recommend you delete any custom battles containing MODs immediately to avoid a ban. Please note that our support team cannot address any issues or appeals caused by the use of MODs.”
Evidently, those who have already violated the rules do have a chance to avoid getting banned by deleting their uploaded content themselves. However, once a ban goes through, it may not be possible to reverse it.
