The governors of the 17 southern states in the country, under the aegis of Southern Governors Forum, are currently holding a crucial meeting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Expected to be discussed at the meeting are burning issues affecting the southern part of Nigeria.
Some of the governors present at the meeting are the host governor, Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Chairman, South-West Governors Forum and Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Alex Otti (Abia), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), and Bassey Otu (Cross River)
Also representing their governors are Deputy Governors Chinyere Ekomaru (Imo), Olayide Adelami (Ondo) and Monday John Onyeme (Delta).
