Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing team in identifying cost-effective suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing strategic partnerships that contribute to the company’s growth and profitability.
As a Sourcing Manager at New Concept Mining, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services.
Your expertise and strategic approach will contribute significantly to the company’s overall success, risk management and sustainability.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven work experience as Sourcing Manager, or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing (preferably within an OEM Environment) industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of achieving cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities
- Perform a Sourcing function for the RGU & HRD Business Line and Product Company.
- Develop and maintain a Strategic Supplier Matrix and framework which can be adopted by the Operational Procurement Team.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives to optimize supplier relationships, costs, and quality.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct thorough evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand departmental requirements and ensure sourcing activities align with business needs.
- Engage with the Epiroc Global Sourcing team to strengthen sourcing capabilities and strategies sourcing decisions.
- Develop pricing indices to track trends and inform strategic price management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation, cost reduction, and reliability.
- Develop Supplier SLAs that will build trust, clarify expectations and simplify pricing reviews.
- Establish and maintain KPIs and metrics to measure sourcing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives to align with corporate social responsibility goals and the Epiroc Way.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the procurement function.
- Conduct periodic supplier audits to assess capabilities, compliance and develop strategic partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Must be willing to do occasional travel to suppliers as per Operational requirement and demand.
- Occasional group travel.
- Continuously monitor supplier performance, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry best practices, and regulations to inform.
- Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
- Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, building and maintaining good relationships with them.
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers to ensure specifications and quality standards are clarified and adhered to.
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts to secure the most advantageous terms.
- Collaborate the activities of the procurement, demand planning and stores personnel to ensure that all activities are coordinated, and performance standards are met.
- Monitor forecasting levels of demand to meet business needs and maintain stock levels.
- Generate RAs for all processes within span of control.
- Implementation of RA controls.
- Adhere to audit standard.
- Continually investigate and interrogate current practices and processes.
- Implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment to protect the company’s property, assets, and people.
- Maintain and manage costs.
