SophieGamerGirl pulls off stunning cosplays that reveal a lot for Cammy White, Kitana, and Mileena

We recently took notice of Sophie ‘SophieGamerGirl’ Valentine’s Instagram page where she has plenty of stunning cosplay shots posted. True to her username, it would appear that SophieGamerGirl is a fan of many notable female characters in video games, many of which hail from fighting games.

One of the characters that SophieGamerGirl has cosplayed as is Cammy White from the Street Fighter series. In fact, she has depicted Cammy as she appears in both Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 6 on separate occasions.

It’s simple enough to discern Street Fighter 5’s version of Cammy from how she appears in Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4. No camouflage paint has been plastered on her legs and she’s donning a gun strap harness on her thong leotard.

What’s interesting is that this gun strap harness is actually in reference to an earlier version of Cammy as she appeared in concept art leading up to her final design in Street Fighter 2. Regardless, Cammy doesn’t actually use any sort of weapons during gameplay.

Like other veterans of the Street Fighter series, Cammy’s appearance saw a drastic change in Street Fighter 6. Instead of her one-piece thong leotard, she’s now wearing a sports bra, yoga pants, and a leather jacket with the United Kingdom flag adorned on the back.

Cammy has retained her speedy gameplay in Street Fighter 6 despite her wardrobe change. This is rather interesting as it’s always been said that Cammy preferred the thong leotard due to the optimal speed, mobility, and flexibility that it allows.

Seeing as how Cammy is still able to do the things that she’s previously been able to do in this new outfit, perhaps there’s actually a different, unstated reason as to why she always preferred the leotard in the past.

In the original Mortal Kombat timeline, Mileena was created as a clone that was intended to replace Kitana. Peeking underneath Mileena’s mask reveals that she was also created to be part Tarkatan.

Needless to say, Kitana always saw Mileena as an abomination, resulting in the two having a hate-filled relationship. During the events of Mortal Kombat 9, it was ultimately Kitana’s discovery of Mileena that persuaded Kitana to join the forces of Earthrealm against Shao Kahn.

In the interest of encouraging peace throughout the realms, Liu Kang’s new timeline reworked Mileena and Kitana’s relationship so that the two were actual sisters. Unfortunately, Tarkat, a deadly disease plaguing Outworld, is just one of many problems that threatens the peace that Liu Kang had worked towards.
