Pharaoh Akahenton Okadigbo, the first son of late Senate President, Dr Chuba Okadigbo, has died.
According to sources close to the family, the deceased was involved in a car accident on Saturday night, May 22, 2021, in Abuja and his body was deposited at the morgue.
Though the cause of his death has not been independently verified by THE PARADISE but photos shared on Facebook on Sunday showed that his car, a Toyota Camry was involved in an accident with a lorry loaded with crates of drinks.
According to AbiFact News, this tragedy comes only three years after another befell the family when Obiajulu Jideofor Okadigbo, one of Dr Chuba Okadigbo’s sons, died in the United States of America from a cold-related ailment. He died on May 29 at the age of 30.
President Muhammadu Buhari, whose running mate in the 2003 presidential election was Dr Chuba Okadigbo, has condoled with the Okadigbo family over the death of their son, Pharaoh Okadigbo.
The president’s condolence message was contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Sunday.
Buhari said, “It is very sad to lose such a promising young man, with so many potentials and passion for youth involvement in the socio-political development of Nigeria.”
He added: “The nation will miss a firm believer in the necessity for people to work in collaboration with governments at all levels to achieve the better society we all wish for.”
