Someone made a Lovers and Friends music video in Tekken 8, and it's perfect

As good as the gameplay and story in Tekken 8 are proving to be, it very well may be that when it’s all said and done the game’s biggest single triumph was its customization mode. Indeed fans have flooded social media with beautifully made guest characters, but a player named BigSkonk has taken things to the next level.

Skonk has created a music video clip for Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz’ 2004 rhythm and blues hit: Lovers and Friends. Though not full song length, the half minute we do get perfectly recreates the look and feel of an R&B music video… only it’s all within Tekken 8.

Tekken 8 has such a wealth of options in its character customization mode that it seems the sky is the limit when it comes to creative expression. We see what begins as a standard intro sequence with Kazuya turning to face his next opponent, but then the music starts as we cut to a slow motion walk up.

From here Skonk’s editing skills are on high display as he expertly captures the beats of an R&B music video and turns the focus of the latest King of Iron Fist Tournament from fighting to sexy song and dance.

The video had us as soon as the first reverse shot showed off big orange boots in slow motion, but it only gets better from there as close ups and slow walks through specialized stages had us rolling.

Talking about it doesn’t really do the whole thing justice, so you’d better just check out the awesome clip via the embed here and let us know how much you loved in the comments after.
