The Cross River State Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Rt. Hon. George O’Ben-Etchi, has sensitized the Ministry’s members of Staff on the need to adhere strictly to the preventive measures and other guidelines regarding the novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Hon. O’Ben-Etchi advised them to always have handy,  hand sanitizers, gloves, face masks and observe social distancing within and out of the office.

He directed that a bucket of water and soap be made available at the entrance to the office where everyone coming in or going out must mandatorily wash their hands while the water should be replaced regularly..

Reiterating His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade’s stance on ensuring that the virus does not get into the State, he said the State’s COVID-19 Response Taskforce will arrest defaulters and as such they should obey the curfew rule by staying indoors from 8pm to 6am daily until further notice.

“The fight against COVID-19 is everybody’s fight and by God’s grace, we will win it. So stay safe and do not be found wanting.” He added.   #
