Manchester United legend Roy Keane was involved in an altercation with a fan after United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich.
The match was Ruben Amorim’s first game in charge, with his first opportunity to see how the current class of Red Devils fit his system.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen held the middle of the pitch with Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes ahead of them. Marcus Rashford was deployed in his old role, heading up the attack as a solo striker.
Meanwhile in defence, with injuries to Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez, Amorim opted for a back three of Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans and Noussair Mazraoui.
The real interesting point, however, was his wings. Amorim is renowned for using dynamic flanks as both attackers and defenders. Amorim entrusted Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo in these roles, and their first outing impressed the Portuguese manager.
With Rashford and Amad linking up within the first two minutes for the striker to send United ahead, the game looked to be an exciting one for the Red Devils. However, Ipswich responded just before half-time with an Omari Hutchinson goal to draw them equal.
However, it was after the game that things really kicked off.

Roy Keane harassed by Ipswich fan
Roy Keane was on punditry duty with the Sky Sports team when one of Ipswich Town’s supporters started giving him stick.
Throughout the whole post-match interview with Amorim, the supporter heckled the team of pundits, particularly Keane, shouting: “F*** you Keane”
Rattled by the heckling, Keane appeared to tell the fan: “It’s no problem abusing me… [inaudible] meet me in the carpark to discuss it, I’ll wait for you in the car park, I’ll wait for you in the car park.”
However, Sky Sports has now responded to the event with a decision regarding the security detail for the show.
The Mail Online has reported that the broadcasters will not be increasing the level of security used at these events, instead being happy with the current set-up.
The bodyguards used were enlisted due to a previous event with Keane, where an Arsenal fan headbutted him at the Emirates Stadium last season.
Before every match they now carry out a risk assessment to determine the level of security at each Premier League match they cover.
The report goes on to explain that Sky have spoken separately to Keane himself, presenter Kelly Cates and co-pundits Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen, to understand their version of events.
Sky Sports has ‘declined to expand’ on those discussions, however, offered ‘sympathy’ for Keane after the position they put him in, pitchside at a club he used to manage at a difficult time.
The Manchester United legend managed Ipswich between 2009 and 2011, having a fairly consistent set of results, with 29 wins, 24 draws and 28 losses.
