The Manchester United executive committee are set to make some decisions this week regarding the state of play at Old Trafford, with owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Joel Glazer and Sir Dave Brailsford all in attendance.
The club have been struggling so far this season, currently sitting at 14th in the Premier League and 21st in the Europa League.
However, with the pressure mounting for United to qualify for the Champions League next season to avoid a significant risk of breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules, something has to give.
Whilst the executive committee backed Erik ten Hag at the start of the summer, extending his contract, and investing £200 million into transfer this summer, the Dutchman has failed to get results on the pitch.

Ten Hag has called for patience for the new signings to fully settle into the squad, however, how long can the current situation be allowed to continue, with no change of direction?
Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants a change made at Old Trafford
New reports from Sam C on X have claimed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe feels “enough is enough” at United and that change is now needed, however, no official decision has been made.
Last week, Ratcliffe said he’d be backing his staff to make the right decision for the club, but no decision has emerged from their meeting today.
The group are set to assemble in London tomorrow for further talks, with this being their most recent board meeting after they formed in Barcelona last month.
It’s understood that the group are trying to avoid sacking ten Hag, with the decision set to cost them £17.5 million in compensation. Had they sacked the Dutchman at the start of the summer, this would have only been £10 million.
