In a new twist in the tale with Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary manager will no longer be allowed into the dressing room at Old Trafford.
It was revealed earlier today that Sir Alex Ferguson was being removed from his role as Global Ambassador for the club.
The decision comes as another one of Ratcliffe’s moves to cut back costs at the club. The INEOS owner has said that the side is now unwilling to pay the £2.61 million per year that the Scottish manager has received as a salary since he retired from management in 2013.
He would still be retaining the position until the end of the season, however after this, he would only be acting as a non-executive board member.
However, Ratcliffe wasn’t going to be removing all perks from the most successful managers in the club’s history.

Ferguson, who won 38 trophies in his 26 years at Old Trafford, will still have his place in the director’s box and at the table for eight at home matches.
However, new reports are emerging that another perk of Ferguson’s has now been stripped from the 82-year-old.
Manchester United’s new dressing room policy
Reports from the Daily Mail have announced that Sir Alex Ferguson and other United football executives have been asked to stay away from the dressing room at Old Trafford.
The tradition of board members being able to visit the dressing rooms at Old Trafford has been in play since the days of Sir Matt Busby.
However, this is now being removed, with United denying directly banning Ferguson, instead, they have a “collective understanding” of those who are now allowed access to the dressing room.
