The season has only just finished but Manchester United have already brought in a new signing to the club.
Many fans have been wondering who the first signing would be under the INEOS ownership and now we know.
And the player being brought in comes from footballing heritage, with his father having been a goalscorer in the English Premier League.
Silva Mexes has officially joined Manchester United Football Club from Ipswich Town.
Mexes is the son of former Wales forward Robert Earnshaw, who is most famous for playing for the likes of Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion amongst others.
Just like his father, Mexes is a forward and will be joining the under 14s at the club. His arrival is a continuation of the youth recruitment drive that has been taking place at the club over the recent years.
The youngster shared an image on his Instagram holding up the number 7 shirt with his name on the back.
He accompanied the image with a caption that read, “Very proud moment for me and my family to announce my signing for Manchester United.
“Thank you for everyone who has helped me on my journey so far .
“The work starts now.”
