Credible information reaching us avers that the seating Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has sacked all the commissioners in his cabinet.
According to our source, this statement was made public by the Secretary to the State Government, Etekamba Umoren, who announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
In the statement, all the commissioners were compelled to hand over everything that links them to their positions and federal appointments without question to the permanent secretaries in their respective ministries.
All efforts to excavate reasons for this supposed irrational decision proved abortive.
However, NHB garnered that virtually all the serving commissioners were from the previous administration of Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
It therefore stands to reason that Governor Udom Emmanuel is tired of what i am inclined to call the 'old wine skin', it appears he retrenched these commissioners to appoint his own with which he hoped to forge the state forward to the next wrung in the ladder of development.
