Severance Season 2 is two episodes down and so far, the show has lived up to everything one would expect from it. However, among all the mystery and thrill Severance brings to the table, there is a character whose return is much anticipated. The character I am referring to here is Reghabi, who made her appearance in Severance Season 1 and is certain to appear in Season 2 as well at some point in time. Now, the question is, why does her appearance carry so much anticipation? Let me answer this query of why she could play a major role in Severance Season 2, along with a full brief of who Reghabi is.
Who Is Reghabi in Severance?
Reghabi is an ex-Lumon employee who helped Petey reintegrate. In an episode, she said that she’s the one who puts chips in Severed employees and goes on to say that only she knows how to take them out as well. It seems that Reghabi’s morality forced her to leave Lumon and help Petey.
In Severance Season 1, we were introduced to Petey, an employee at Lumon who was also Mark’s best friend. However, he was relieved of his duties under unspecified circumstances. Later on, Petey approaches Mark’s outie and tells him that he is his innie’s friend. He has gone through a reintegration process with the help of Reghabi, who helped Petey remove his Severance chip.
Before Petey died, he left behind the cell phone he used to talk to Reghabi, which Mark used to contact her. He set up a meeting with her at Ganz College but was followed by Lumon’s Head of Security, Doug Gardner. Reghabi and Doug got into a violent confrontation where Reghabi killed Doug with a baseball bat. Since then, she has been AWOL because she is on Lumon’s radar.
Why Is Reghabi’s Appearance Important in Severance Season 2?
After Season 1, there is a 99% chance that Reghabi will have a major role in Severance Season 2. Since she is a major player in the Severance Resistance, Mark, along with his team, has gone completely rogue and has gone against Lumon in every possible way; there is a high chance that Reghabi will approach Mark.
On top of that, we also see Irving make a call to an unknown person in Severance Season 2 Episode 2. There is a high possibility that the call Irving made was to Reghabi. In Season 1, when Dylan activated the Overtime Contingency Protocol, we see that Irving finds some documents that indicate that he has been investigating Lumon for quite some time. In Severance Season 2, it is obvious that we will see Mark, Helly, Irving, and Dylan investigate Lumon and uncover what they are doing and since Reghabi used to work at Lumon, there is a possibility that they will approach her at some point of time.
