Joy Mojisola Raimi, the newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025, emerged victorious at the national pageant held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who represented Osun State, was selected from among 37 contestants across the country.
The announcement was made by Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of the Silverbird Group, who shared the news in a post on X.
“Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old representing Osun State, on being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025!” Bruce wrote while sharing a photo of the newly crowned queen.

- Raimi is from Osun State but raised in Rivers:
Raimi hails from Boripe Local Government Area in Osun State but was born and raised in Rivers State, Nigeria.
She represented Osun State in the Miss World Nigeria pageant and has continuously used her platform to celebrate both her heritage and upbringing.
- Pageant Successes:
The newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025 is not new to the world of pageantry. In 2021, she won the Miss Port Harcourt City International title and went on to become Miss Intercontinental Nigeria in 2022.
- Academic Background:
She is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt. She clinched the new title after a series of competitions which depict her intelligence.
- Profession and Hobbies:
Raimi is a professional model and actress. Besides having a flair for dancing, which she describes as a special talent, she also enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to good music.
- Advocacy and Humanitarian Efforts:
She is the founder of ‘The Love for Humanity project’ — an initiative focused on spreading love and restoring faith in communities across Nigeria.
She is a strong advocate for ending period poverty, she shows commitment to issues affecting women and girls.

During the final round of the competition, Raimi opened up about her childhood and revealed that she grew up without a mother and endured bullying from her caregiver.
Despite being told she would never amount to anything, she said those experiences shaped her strength and determination.
“I refused to be defined by my past. Instead, I chose to rise above it,” Raimi told the audience.

Raimi said that her guiding life motto is: “Wherever you are meant to be, you’ll surely get there.”
She also believes that “anything worth doing is worth doing well,” a principle that she said has guided her achievements so far.
Raimi faced stiff competition in the final round from contestants representing Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia States.
The Miss World Nigeria 2025, will represent the country at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, where she will compete alongside contestants from 140 countries, to bring home the global crown.
