Service Specialist – Secunda

Job Description    

  • Participate in on-site activities such as sample collection, analysis and the compilation of weekly service and monthly reports.
  • Effectively oversee monthly chemical orders, ensuring product delivery while maintaining optimal on-site stock levels and ensuring proper treatment of all systems.
  • Optimize all chemical-treated systems, ensuring satisfactory margins are maintained on-site.
  • Conduct site servicing, including equipment control, calibration, dosing pump management, and monitoring water chemistry.
  • Promote the growth of accounts in the designated area and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets and prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create comprehensive plans for client acquisition and retention.
  • Supervise and ensure the correct and safe execution of work by on-site personnel, including operators, technicians, and the site supervisor.
  • Adhere to AECI standards for housekeeping and safety on sites at all times.
  • Strict adherence to safety rules, ensuring the presence of risk assessments and safe work procedures.
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly review meetings with key site management personnel.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to address customer inquiries and provide effective solutions.
  • Develop quarterly and yearly budgets for all assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate in implementing periodic price increases across all accounts.
  • Monitor and facilitate timely payments for all accounts, following up to prevent account blockages.
  • Foster and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications & Experience    

  • Matric (Science and Maths)
  • National Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the Chemical Water Treatment Industry
  • Proficiency in sales strategies, managing client relationships, and employing techniques to attain sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver’s License
