As we head into the final few days of the transfer window, new around United’s outgoing stars is truly erupting.

Scott McTominay is set to sign for Napoli, Hannibal Mejbri is headed to Burnley and the race for Jadon Sancho is set to keep going between Juventus and Chelsea.

Whilst Juventus are waiting to sell Frederico Chiesa in order to make a move for Sancho, Chelsea are negotiating a swap deal including Raheem Sterling. The prospect of Sterling moving to United is one that sporting director Dan Ashworth is keen on, with former striker Troy Deeney claiming “he’s better than anything they’ve got there,” referring to the other United wingers.

However, United’s other priority sale is Victor Lindelof, who hasn’t been receiving much interest this summer.

There was early interest from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, however any whispers of this seemed to die down.

Then came reports of some Saudi and Italian clubs being interested in the defender, however no clubs were ever named as declaring interest.

Now though, that is all set to change, with one Italian club now looking at the Sweden international to strengthen their defence.

Lazio consider a move for Victor Lindelof

Lazio currently sit in ninth place in Serie A after two games of the season. The Italian club manages to bat Venezia comfortably 3-1 in their opening game of the season, however then lost 2-1 to Udinese this weekend.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Serie A side are now looking to Lindelof as a way of strengthening their back line to hopefully achieve a better finish than last year’s seventh place.

Unfortunatley, Lindelof has missed the first two games of the Premier League season for United due to an injury he picked up against Liverpool in the pre-season tour of the USA.

The defender will no doubt be hoping to get back to the pitch as soon as possible, but with Matthijs de Ligt now fighting for the same position and Leny Yoro coming into the equation when he’s back from injury, Lindelof may find himself struggling for game time at Old Trafford.
