Photo: Facebook Over the weekend, the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox School of Theology entered into a cooperation agreement with the Moscow Theological Academy, the main theological school of the Russian Orthodox Church.
From September 23 to 29, Archimandrite Sergije Puskar, the Dean of Students and professor at St. Sava’s and abbot of the Holy Protection-New Gračanica Monastery in Chicago, visited the Moscow school to present his book, Life, Missionary Work, and. Teaching of St. Nikolai (Velimirović) of Serbia, which was published by the Moscow Theological Academy Press, the Academy reports.
Fr. Sergije is himself a graduate of the Moscow Theological Academy.
On Saturday, September 28, Fr. Sergije and the rector of Moscow Theological Academy, His Grace Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, signed a cooperation agreement between the theological schools.
The cooperation plans include organizing joint events, guest lectures, and other activities of mutual interest.
St. Sava’s was founded in 1986 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch German of Serbia and opened its doors in 1987. The school confers a Bachelor of Divinity degree.
