This past Sunday, NBA star Nikola Vučević gave a talk for the youth and community at St. Stevan of Dečani Serbian Orthodox Church in Chicago.
Vučević, an NBA All-Star, currently plays for the Chicago Bulls.
“Nikola shared valuable insights about the intersection of sports, faith, and the spiritual struggles that come with life, touching the hearts of all those gathered, particularly our youth,” reports the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of New Gračanica and Midwestern America.
Vučević spoke about the central role that Christ occupies in his life and career. “He shared how God helps him stay humble, grounded, and focused during his spiritual challenges, despite the pressures of being a public figure in professional sports. His words reminded us all that life in the Church is a beautiful and precious gift, something we must cherish with love, commitment, and dedication.”
