Job Summary

As an SEO Manager, you will partner with our content and product marketing teams to ensure their output is primed for success. You will be very autonomous and driven, capable of both analytical and creative thinking. You will also have good interpersonal skills that enable you to build close relationships with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders. You will have an in depth knowledge of all aspects of the SEO playbook (technical and on-page).

You will have an urgent desire to understand our place in the competitive landscape and create an actionable plan where we top the SERPS for all our core target keywords.

Minimum Qualification: BSC Degree
Experience Level: 1 year Experience in SEO (minimum)
Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a keyword landscape review and build a comprehensive strategy around intent, volume, difficulty, and business impact for content across the funnel. Your grasp of analytics will be good enough to understand customer buying cycles and which keywords convert.
  • Evolve our hub and spoke strategy and ensure we’re creating the right content for our target audience.
  • Build an SEO content roadmap that includes post refreshes, experiments and technical initiatives to achieve month-on-month gains to our organic traffic and free trials.
  • Set goals with marketing to help them achieve their objectives and ensure all site updates have been considered from an SEO perspective.
  • Track our priority keywords and report to key stakeholders on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor organic traffic analytics with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search
  • Console and Amplitude and flag issues, opportunities and competitor insights.
  • Keep abreast of the latest search engine guidelines, updates, trends, techniques and technologies needed to ensure on-going SEO best practice in your day-to-day work
  • Be responsible for the technical SEO of the Resource Guru website and blog, including crawlability, indexability, and page speed
  • Work with external agencies to manage and expand our link-building strategy

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in SEO (agency or in-house experience works for us)
  • Both technical and on-page SEO expertise, comfortable with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs
  • and Clearscope, and Google Search Console.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Has an understanding of the broader marketing ecosystem and where SEO fits in
  • Strong understanding of writing using WordPress
  • This is a full-time role, and reliable internet access and a reliable power/generator source is a must.
