What you will do in this role

 As a Senior IT Technician, you will:

  • Resolve issues assigned through the IT Helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Diagnose and address faults reported by customers, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions
  • Provide support to the IT department and contribute to IT projects as needed, actively collaborating with team members
  • Ensure adherence to predefined service level targets, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, service providers, suppliers, and clients to effectively resolve issues, maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on server infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve potential issues
  • Report and escalate issues as necessary, ensuring proper attention and resolution
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, actively seeking opportunities to enhance IT services and infrastructure
  • Continuously update and maintain documentation related to IT practices, configurations and troubleshooting procedures
  • Provide clear and concise communication to all levels of the organisation, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while analysing faults reported from the business via phone and internet

Your qualifications and experience

Concentrix is a great match if you have:

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2012-2022)
  • Proficiency in DHCP, DNS and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Linux (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Nutanix and VMware (advantageous)
  • MCSA or equivalent certification/experience
  • In-depth technical understanding of IT services
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of networking technologies
  • Familiarity with Telephony ACD systems (e.g., Avaya, Aspect, Genesys) is desirable
  • Proven problem-solving experience in technical areas
  • Extensive experience supporting users in a large business environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organisation
