Purpose of the job:
To ensure that the entries in the company's bookkeeping system are mathematically correct.
Required Qualifications
BComm Accounting Degree advantageous
SAIPA/ SAICA articles preferable
Technical Competencies and responsibilities
3-4 years relevant experience in an SME accounting Firm
Ability to work with large and diverse client portfolio
Accounting packages:
Xero preferable
Quickbooks/ Pastel- intermediate
Competencies:
Must have SME experience in Accounting Firm
Accounting up to reconciled trial balance for a portfolio of clients
Preparing monthly management reports
Training and supervision of junior monthly accountants
Where required, recording of primary entries in the general ledger
Submission of VAT 201 and EMP 201 returns and liaising with SARS
Client on boarding to Cloud Accounting
