The erstwhile Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator John Owan Enoh has demanded a public apology from a blogger for publishing item in falsehood against the Senator.
The article which was said to have been published by one Ukorebi Essien, the editor of The Daily News, an online media platform owned and ran by the same individual.
The media team of the Senator under the aegis of JOE MEDIA have on behalf of the Senator demanded for an open apology from the blogger for publishing such libelous article against their principal.
The response reads;
RE: DANSUKI IS THE AUTHENTIC STANDARD
We have read a piece with the above caption credited to one Ukorebi Essien circulating in the social media. At a first glance, we thought we should discountenance this vile epistle and empty rantings by an accursed traducer who has traded his soul for idle chatter in the social media space, but on a second thought we decided to offer this disclaimer for the records and posterity. This laggardly pace and poorly written publication which is saddled with a huge facility for deception is not only spurious in its content, but it is equally a baggage of an unconscionable horrid falsehood, unsubstantiated innuendos, and a toxic cocktail of lies.
In his attempt to blackmail Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong(Jr.), the APC candidate for Senate in the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State in the forthcoming general elections, this faceless Ukorebi Essien who is seeking undue political relevance alluded to non-existent comments which he credited to Senator John Owan Enoh. Hear him, “Recall that Sen. Owan Enoh had revel that it was Asuquo Ekpenyong who petitioned Prince Otu to the APC Gubernatorial Screening Committee because he wanted to at all cost govern us.” He went further, “In fact Sen. John Owan Enoh calls him “THE REAL ENEMY OF THE SOUTH.” Nothing could be further from the truth. These are baseless insinuations from a pathological liar and someone with an incurable penchant for mischief.
Ostensibly, Ukorebi whom we understand is a young man in his prime, is an unscrupulous merchant of lies with an inordinate desire to ride on the hard earned reputation of distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh to sell an unfounded narrative.
To put it in very unequivocal terms, Senator John Owan Enoh did not at any time make such comments or accused Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong(Jr.) of writing any petition against Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu. The said comments only exist in the figment of the imagination of Ukorebi who is fast building a lifestyle of notoriety and delusions of grandeur in the social media. We therefore call on all and sundry to disregard the juvenile vituperations of Ukprebi Essien.
We reckon that Ukorebi Essiens latest penchant for lies against the person of distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh is libelous and we demand an unreserved public apology to the Senator forthwith.
