The Senator representing Cross River Southern District, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, has visited the family of late Polycarp Eke, a personnel of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), who died on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, after gunmen attack on the Afokang Prison in Calabar.
Describing the late Richee Polycarp as a very hardworking and dependable ally, the Senator recalled how the deceased played a strategic media advocacy role during his campaigns and even after the elections.
Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong prayed God to grant his family and the entire people of APC Ward 5 Calabar Municipality the fortitude to bear the lose, while promising to stand with the family in this grievous moment.

Similarly, the federal lawmaker also paid a condolence visit to the families of the Late Elder (Mrs.) Ekanem Davies and Late Elder Effiong Ekpe. While at the homes of the bereaved families, the Senator commiserated with them and equally prayed that God grant the families and the entire people of Cross River South the fortitude to bear the lose.
