Halima is from Shendam LGA in Plateau state. Plateau state is known for promoting women equality and empowerment, and is the most gender sensitive state in Northern Nigeria.
Records also have it that, Plateau is the only state in the North to ever have democratic Deputy Governor, out of the 7 Ministers appointed in the last 17 years 3 are women and now leading in a profession reserved only for strong men.
