One other residents from Calabar South even insinuated that “G1 is recognised by Governor Ben Ayade“. That Ayade had visited G1 asking them to turn Calabar upside down”. According to this person, “the militants even gave interview to Channel Tv and government paid for them”.
On two separate occasions last week, the Cross River State leading social commentator and embattled APC CRS mouthpiece, Ifere Paul, offered reliable information about the state of security in the state capital, Calabar. In the first, Paul alleges that the kidnapping kingpin in neighbouring Akpabuyo LGA had been apprehended by the Joint Task Force (JTF). He identified three of these kingpins as G1, G2 and G3. Paul noted that G2 had been arrested. And cautioned against his detainment in Calabar. Again, Paul contended that according to his sources, the governor of Cross River State is in the know of the identities of these kings pins who are in his employ.
The pictures you find here are identities of alleged criminals. These are the two armed robbers and kidnappers arrested and one shot dead inside the swampy creeks. Photo credit goes to Ifere Paul.

*THE KIDNAPPERS KINGPIN ARRESTED!!!
The kidnappers leader in Akpabuyo has been arrested by the JTF in Calabar at about 6am today. He is popularly known as G2.
The man was arrested in his bikers attires. I commend the JTF for a wonderful job well executed and a perfect timing that brought this arrest possible.
But the security operatives should be caution over the detention of G2 in Calabar. According to information made available to me by Jude Ngaji in our earlier discussions, Jude revealed that there are three kidnappers kingpins simply known as G1, G2, and G3. In the order of seniority.
Now that G2 has been arrested, the DSS should step in and move this criminal to Lagos or Abuja. Because, it is generally believed that the group heads works hand in hand with government officials and appointees.
Congratulations to the all security personnel for this big catch. Well done!!
*Cross Riverians do not trust that G2 should be kept in detention in Calabar.
In an opinion poll I conducted through messenger and calls, the public believes that the police can easily be bribed by G1 for the release of G2.
One resident in Akpabuyo even went futher that G2 and G3 have been arrested severally. But that there exist a paddy paddy relationship between the group and security agents. In my text message exchanges with Jude Ngaji, one of the G1 group member was asking for compensation.
Another residents said that politicians normally buy cars and gifts to these terrorists for political patronage by the groups.
One other residents from Calabar South even insinuated that “G1 is recognised by Governor Ben Ayade”. That Ayade had visited G1 asking them to turn Calabar upside down”. According to this person, “the militants even gave interview to Channel Tv and government paid for them”.
“Let me tell, the militants even went to the government house to collect their money which the government promised them if they turn Calabar upside down”. He concluded that “the deputy governor was made to lie on the ground and they flogged him. Others were made to kneel down”. So, “when you hear the governor shouting we know were you live, and we know your hiding place” during the security meeting with the service chiefs, the fact is he truly knows”.
Therefore, I must advice the DSS to as a matter of urgency transfer the detainee to Abuja.
