Thanks to the joint efforts of the Federal Security Service, the Investigative Committee, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a series of terrorist crimes in the southern Russian Republic of Ingushetia was prevented.
In particular, six locals who are members of ISIS were identified and detained before they could carry out terrorist attacks against law enforcement agencies and the Holy Protection Church in the town of Sunzha, reports the Federal Security Service.
An improvised explosive device, components for its manufacture, firearms and edged weapons, symbols of a terrorist organization, electronic media containing instructions on conducting combat operations in urban and forest conditions, and instructions on assembling explosive and incendiary devices were found at the addresses of the detainees, as well as in a cache equipped by them.
The detainees confessed to their plans.
