BEKWARRA –The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has commissioned its Bekwarra Chapter Secretariat, in Abouchiche, Bekwarra Local Government of Cross River State NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
Speaking at the the event, the Bekwarra Chapter Chairman, Prince John Odama said the office will serve as a rallying point for all SDP members in the Local Government and it will serve as where those who seek information as regards joining the party can do so.
As regards the prospect of the party in the area, the chairman stated that “the Bekwarra people are wise and know what is good for them. We are aware of how we have fared in the last few years and we know what would have been possible with a govenor that has his priorities straight so we are ready for the race.”
Earlier speaking, the State party Chairman, Chief Ikpi Eni held that SDP is in Cross River for business and the commissioning of the Bekwarra chapter Secretariat is a tastement of how far the party has gone and how well it can do.
Eni told those present that SDP is a party for all and that the party has the interest of all Cross Riverians at heart and that is why all modalities are being made to engage with the grassroot and intimate them on the need to consider SDP as a workable alternative to the PDP in Cross River.
Earlier speaking, the Governorship candidate of SDP in Cross River, Mr. Ekpo affirmed that his decision to contest for the Governorship of the state is not for personal reasons but because he has witness the level governance has dropped to in the state, and as a good citizen of the state he had nothing else but to contest to “recover and restore”.
