Saturday polls: APC chieftain accuses APGA of planning to rig Anambra State Assembly election

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Anambra State, Barrister Mike Ikegbunam, has accused the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) of planning to rigged the State House of Assembly election for Ayamelum State Constituency in Ayamelum local government area of the state.

The Chieftain also alleged that APGA been the State ruling party, plan to buy up INEC Officials and security operatives to aide the rigging in favour of the serving State House of Assembly Speaker, Honourable Uche Okafor, who is represent the area.

According to Ikegbunam, who spoke to journalists in Awka, on Friday, explained that APGA has planned thugs and rigging machineries in the area to rigged the process.

“As I speak to the press now, some unknown security officers are currently harassing and intimidating the people of Omor community in the council area, mostly, supporters from the opposition parties.

“I am using this medium to appealed to the State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Elizabeth Agwu and  heads of security operatives in the state to take note of the emergency situation to avoid a break down of law and order in the area.”

He cautioned the people of the Constituency not to allow themselves to be deceived by the APGA government.

Attempt to speak with the state chairman of APGA, Chief Nobert Obi, on the allegation, prove abortive, as his phone number was swift off.
