San Diego FC are now starting their pre-season with the MLS beginning again in February 2025.
Before that, the club have three friendlies lined up against Phoenix Rising, Sacramento Republic and New York City FC at the end of January and start of February.
As such, the American side are assembling their squad to begin training for the season to come.
San Diego have now recalled one of their stars from loan, to join the pre-season preparations.
Former Manchester United man Paddy McNair is set to return to the States from his loan spell with West Bromwich Albion.
McNair joined San Diego last summer for free when is contract at Middlesbrough came to an end. However, the United academy graduate was instantly loaned to West Brom, yet to play a game for his new parent club.
However, McNair unfortunately struggled for game time at West Brom which could be another reason for the recalling of him from loan.
Whilst McNair featured in the squad only ten times out of 25 games, making only three appearances, though his cameo against Cardiff City only lasted four minutes.
The Northern Ireland international will be hoping his time in the States will be more productive, with his game time dwindling over the latter years at Middlesbrough.
