Separately, the OneUI 5.1 upgrade by default enabled the Maximum Performance Mode on the Galaxy S22 devices, which could be another reason for battery depletion if you were in power-saving mode prior to the update.

The OneUI 5.1 update to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series has hit the battery department big time. There are reports from customers that say the Samsung Keyboard might be causing the issue. Phones with different keyboards set as main are unlikely to be affected.
Until Samsung pushes an update, the better alternative could be to head to the Battery section and enable the Battery Saver option, change the default keyboard to anything other than Samsung and keep tabs on the Battery section for any irregularities.
According to users on Reddit, Samsung is aware of the problem but the company so far hasn’t made any comments or issued an acknowledgement. There are chances the South Korean giant might roll out an update in the coming days but a timeline isn’t mentioned anywhere just yet.
