Sales Executive (B2B for a Tech Startup) at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

As a Sales Executive for our B2B startup building innovative business management software, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers and selling our software to them. Your role will involve actively reaching out to potential clients, creating relationships, and closing deals to drive revenue growth. You will need to have strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of our product and the restaurant industry, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients and conduct outreach to establish relationships and sell our solution
  • Conduct product demos to potential clients to showcase the benefits and features of our software
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our product, the restaurant industry, and our target market
  • Oversee the onboarding of new customers, collaborating with them to get the required information such as inventory lists, recipes and menu items into our product
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities in our CRM system
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay up to date with industry trends and to network with potential clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in B2B sales, ideally in the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline and meet targets
  • Comfortable with technology and software demos
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results-driven
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field
  • Experience with sales in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with restaurant management systems or software is a plus

Compensation: N100k Basic with an additional N50k performance-based payment + Commission on sales.
