Job Summary:
The Sales and Cashier Associate will play a key role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience at Homeland Foodie. This individual will be responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and providing excellent customer service. They will also assist in upselling products and supporting the sales team in achieving targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting products or services, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Accurately process customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and electronic payments with accuracy and professionalism, ensuring proper cash register management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and services to assist customers effectively.
- Upsell and cross-sell products, promoting special offers and new items to maximize sales.
- Assist in organizing the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked, displayed, and easily accessible to customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly, maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and work environment.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Strong experience and familiarity with cash handling, sales, and customer service.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude.
