Sajam Tekken Slam early results featuring Joey Fury, Justin Wong, Brawlpro, PhiDX, KawaiiFaceMiles, MYK, AfroSenju, Coney, Disguised Toast, and more

Tekken 8 has captured the attention of the fighting game community and beyond since its launch at the end of January, and there’s an event going down meant to bring everyone together in the heat of battle.

The Sajam Tekken Slam is taking place this weekend bringing in fighting game pros and experienced players as team leaders in FaZe|Joey Fury, Justin Wong, Brawlpro, PhiDX, MYK and KawaiiFaceMiles paired with popular video game streamers, current / former pros in other games and content creators including AfroSenju, Coney, Disguised Toast, LilyPichu, Seanic, Emilyywang, BoxBox, starsmitten, scarra, Sykkuno, Imaqtpie, Shiphtur, and more.

This special tournament is formatted in the 4v4 Waseda style with players facing off in order of approximate skill levels where teams need three points to win, and team captains battling in the event of tie breakers.

Day one on Friday, March 8, is a round robin tournament to determine seeding for the final bracket taking place Sunday, March 10.

First and second place teams will receive a trip to Evo 2024 with all expenses paid including flight, hotel and registration, as well as Razer Kitsune leverless controllers. Tesseract controllers for third place, Snackbox controllers for fourth, and everyone participating gets free Chipotle as well.

The Sajam Tekken Slam is of course being hosted by Sajam along with Tasty Steve. Primary streaming taking place on Sajam’s Twitch channel though other streams are also taking place on the individual creator’s pages too.
