The secret to not fighting too much as a couple? Fight in front of the camera… in cosplay… as Street Fighter characters.
Lauren and Ethan of Thousand Faces Cosplay are ridiculously good at staying in shape and making themselves look like some of the most memorable characters from around the world of gaming. Today we’re taking a look at their Cammy and Sagat cosplays, which are some of the best we’ve ever seen… and that’s obviously saying something.
First off, if Ryu gets to have a sexy beard, why not Sagat? That seems to be Ethan’s philosophy, and it’s definitely working here. It actually took us a few moments to consider the fact that Sagat doesn’t actually have a beard in the games because of how natural it looks in these photos.
Of course, it’s not only the beard that does the trick here as both Ethan and Lauren clearly put in a ton of work into making their bodies look similar to the ridiculous physiques we see in gaming.
Here are a few Sagat solo shots for you to appreciate. One even has a cool fire effect as the character gets ready to toss a Tiger Shot, presumably in the direction of a certain Killer Bee…
Next up we see Lauren strike a few poses as Cammy White, one of the most popular Street Fighter roster members we see cosplayed on the internet.
She absolutely does the character justice as she makes for a near perfect Cammy, but if we were nitpicking we might point out the fact that she seems to have conflated Cammy’s SF2 and SF5 looks.
That said, we’re not complaining in the slightest as she drops jaws with one of the best takes on a character who has a lot of competition when it comes to cosplay.
The couple takes a few shots together as they prepare for and even engage in a fight. Better to get it out in front of the camera than to have spats at home.
What do you think of these two and their talents? Were you as impressed as we, or have you seen better somewhere else?
Chime into the comments with your reactions, and if you like what you see then be sure to follow their Instagram page, Thousand Faces Cosplay, where you’ll find more Street Fighter and video game characters from both.
