Manchester United’s managerial role seems to be slipping away from Erik ten Hag as his Reds keep posting horrible result after horrible result.
Numerous top managers have been linked with the club including outgoing Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel as centredevils recently reported.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that Tuchel isn’t the only former Chelsea manager fancying a move to Old Trafford, as Graham Potter would like to manage Manchester United should Ten Hag be relieved of his duties.
Jacobs explains how easy it would be to get the deal done as there already is a connection between Potter and INEOS as he was once considered for the INEOS owned OGC Nice managerial job.
“I think it’s fair to say that Graham Potter would be very tempted by the Manchester United role, if he was offered an interview, should a vacancy arise. Potter was under strong consideration at one point for Nice so, historically, there is a connection there, ” Jacobs said.
Journalist Jacobs also mentioned what the link was between United and the potential of hiring Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate.
“The connection between Gareth Southgate and Manchester United would be presuming everything gets done with Dan Ashworth because of their time working together at the FA,” Jacobs said.
“But the connection between Potter and Manchester United is INEOS and the fact that he was considered for Nice.” he concludes.
Potter was in charge of Chelsea for a while although it did not go as planned and it is safe to say all the potential and pedigree he showed with minnows Brighton and Hove Albion wasn’t replicated.
