What’s likely to be one of the only good Marvel films of recent years is just about to hit theaters this Friday as fans are heavily anticipating the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine. Microsoft is taking advantage of the hype with two new Xbox controllers modeled after the film’s titular characters’… butts.
That’s right, Xbox is making custom controllers fans could potentially win by entering a sweepstakes (details below). We also have some footage of lead actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman unboxing and reacting to the cheeky controllers, as well as some spot on artwork from Bosslogic.
First thing’s first, here’s footage from IGN as the leading men unbox and take a look at their respective tushy-inspired Xbox controllers. Reynolds is full steam ahead about the ordeal, but Jackman is (as we imagine he was during the entire shooting window for Deadpool and Wolverine) a decent bit distracted by the fact that his kids will inevitably see all this.

This marketing maneuver is proving to be quite effective as while the masses may or may not be interested in actually getting their hands on the cheeky controllers, they certainly are appreciating the fact that they exist.
We’ve seen these special pads pop up more than a few times across fighting game social media, and have to share Bosslogic’s creative contribution as he artistically melds the characters and game pads together:

We would note that these would be perfect for delving into the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, but unfortunately the Collection will not be available on Xbox as it’s slated to release only for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
