A report in the Sunday Mirror suggests that the Old Trafford hierarchy are ready to snub the former Chelsea boss and allow the Welshman to take over from Louis van Gaal
Manchester United want Ryan Giggs, and not José Mourinho, to replace Louis van Gaal as the club’s manager, according to a report in the Sunday Mirror.
Rumours have been rife that former Chelsea boss Mourinho had agreed to take over at Old Trafford, with Inter director Massimo Moratti’s sister having claimed that the Portuguese even told her he was going to Manchester.
But the Mirror suggests that United will push ahead with a succession plan that would see Giggs take over from a beleaguered Van Gaal in the summer, snubbing any advances from currently out-of-work Mourinho.
