Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of his final game as Manchester United interim manager on Sunday.
His side will face Leicester at Old Trafford and have managed only one Premier League win in their last six games.
When asked about his plans after Ruben Amorim joins on Monday, the Dutchman insisted that he wants to stay with United.
Whether Amorim will fulfil this desire and keep Van Nistelrooy as part of his coaching staff is unknown right now.

Speaking after United’s 2-0 win over PAOK last night, Paul Scholes recommended that Van Nistelrooy looks for a permanent managerial role, rather than continuing as an assistant.
Scholes claimed that the 48-year-old has the aura of a manager and should seek such a role when Amorim joins.
‘He looks like a manager. He speaks well, doesn’t he? Nice and calm and relaxed. Goes about his business really, really well,’ he said.
‘I am pretty sure he must have the bug back to be a manager.
‘When you have done it and been successful, as he was in Holland as well, going back to being an assistant, it must be quite difficult because you must be frustrated, and I asked him about it before the game.’

Scholes mentioned that, having previously coached PSV, Ruud van Nistelrooy will have his own tactical ideas that he would like to impress on a team.
To do so as an assistant is a difficult task and can often lead to a clash with the head coach.
A similar dynamic was observed with him and Erik ten Hag, as many believed the two did not see eye to eye, after TV cameras caught them arguing in the dugout last month.
‘There are certain things he will want to do that you don’t agree with the manager, and you can say it but it doesn’t matter,’ Scholes said.
‘The buck stops with the manager and I think Ruud, now, I don’t know if he is going to stay, I don’t know that and it will be up to the new man, the men at Ineos.
‘I think he should be a manager, he just looks like he is made to be a manager to me.
‘I don’t think he should be anybody’s, not a puppet, but I think he is better than an assistant manager.
‘I think he should be a manager.’
