After a brief second stint at Old Trafford with Manchester United’s coaching team, Ruud van Nistelrooy is now in the hot seat at Leicester City.
The former striker joined Erik ten Hag’s coaching team as assistant manager in the summer.
However, when ten Hag was sacked in October, van Nistelrooy stepped up as interim manager, filling the gap before Ruben Amorim could join from Sporting Lisbon.
Once Amorim arrived however, there was no room for the Dutchman to stay at Carrington with Amorim’s coaching team moving with him.
After being made redundant, van Nistelrooy was spoilt for choices, being considered for Hamburger FC and Coventry City, however has ultimately joined The Foxes.
Now, the legendary goal scorer is raiding his former club to support Leicester’s Premier League campaign to fight their way out of the relegation zone.
MUFC Academy has reported on X that Leicester City are looking to sign Harry Amass.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is looking to his former club to loan the young left-back this winter transfer window.
However, The Foxes are yet to make an offer for Amass, despite not being the only interested party.
Several unnamed Championship and League One clubs are also looking to secure the talented defender.
As the season was starting, Harry Amass looked sure to get his debut under Erik Ten Hag. The report explains the Dutchman promised him a chance for a breakthrough into the squad, but his chances look slim with Ruben Amorim now in charge.
Further to this, United’s recent sighing of Diego Leon provides direct competition for Amass’ spot at Old Trafford.
As a boost for Leicester, United are keen to loan out the 17-year-old this month to support his long-term development with game time.
