Ruben Amorim has insisted that he will not raid Sporting CP for their players in the January transfer window.
However, he has not ruled out the possibility of signing one of their stars next summer.
‘I will not sign any Sporting player at Man United in January… then, what happens in the summer I don’t know,’ he said.
‘Sporting players are good players. We will see what happens…’

This debunks any rumours that star striker Viktor Gyokeres or winger Geovany Quenda could move to Manchester United in the next few months.
However, after making this statement, Amorim curiously highlighted one Sporting player that he believes could play at any club in the world.
The 39-year-old spoke highly of 26-year-old winger Pedro Goncalves, referencing his ability and character.
‘He [Goncalves] can play for any team in the world and with any player, because he is a great player. I could take him anywhere,’ Amorim said.
‘He is very funny, which improves the personal relationship.
‘But he is also very intelligent, he also has to focus on Sporting because we have to be champions this year.
‘But he could play in any team in the world,’ Ruben Amorim told A Bola.

Goncalves has scored four goals and given three assists in seven league games for Sporting this season.
He is estimated to be worth around £26million by Transfermarkt and has almost three years left on his contract which expires in June 2027.
Reports last month revealed that Amorim wanted to bring Goncalves to Old Trafford, as well as Goncalo Inacio and Marcus Edwards.
However, for now, it seems that the Portuguese manager has no immediate plans to do so and will wait until next summer to make any approaches.
